Who do I trust? What do I give my time, attention, and energy to? What does this have to do with pledges and offerings?
Sharing a portion of what we earn or receive, regularly, generously, and joyfully, is a tool to help us worship God well. It frees us from fear and an outlook of scarcity about life.
When we share with others a potion of what God has entrusted to us, we are freed and our neighbors have their needs met. This is the purpose of offerings in church.
Martin Luther taught, “Jesus does not need your good works, your neighbor does.”
So, as a faith practice, we encourage you to share with Faith Lutheran Church. We will use what you share to bless others. But, what we encourage the most is regular, generous and joyful sharing somewhere, anywhere. Just share!
